A 3-Step Lateralization & Treatment Decision Tree for Rehab Clinicians
Master Ewald's 2nd Law, Bow & Lean and Null Point Tests, and maneuver selection in under 60 seconds.
I'm Dr. McDonald, PT, DPT, NCS — a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with advanced post-doctoral training in vestibular and balance disorders. After completing an intensive Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency and earning board certification as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist, I went on to complete fellowship training in Vestibular Rehabilitation to deepen my expertise in the most complex cases.
Today, I specialize in evaluating and treating central and peripheral vestibular dysfunction, post-concussion syndrome (PCS), persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD), and complex gait and balance disorders.
I started Vestibular PT Vault because I kept seeing the same thing in clinics and continuing ed courses: talented PTs defaulting to guesswork on lateralization and treatment selection, not because they weren't capable, but because no one had broken the decision-making down clearly. I built the tools I wish I'd had earlier in my own training — practical, evidence-informed resources clinicians can actually use during a patient encounter, not just read once and forget.
